ArtKids Preschool Program

Registration is now being processed for August 2008 - January 2009 classes. Please noted the following information regarding registration:

June 16-June 30: Members Pre-Registration; Phone and email registrations only.

July 1: Registration Open to All; Online registration only.

Learning is fun at the Walters for children 3-5 years old and their favorite adults! You and your child will use all of your senses during this 90-minute, hands-on experience that combines a story chosen for its theme, a short tour, and an art activity. Preschool workshops last 90 minutes and are led by specially trained museum educators.

Classes are held from 10:30 a.m.-noon.

Classes are for children ages 3-5 only.

Class size is limited to 15 children. One adult chaperone is required for every two children. Pre-registration is mandatory.

Just for Family Members!

Members First Artkids Preschool workshops will be held for museum members on the first Tuesday of the month, October through May.

The Walters offers preschool art workshops as described above for preschools, daycare centers, and childcare providers. The museum also offers adult training sessions for childcare professionals on "Museum Visits with Young Learners."
