Scouting Programs

Calling all girl scouts and boy scouts! The Walters Art Museum invites Scouts of all ages to learn about the wonderful world of art while earning merit badges. This interactive, two-hour program includes:

• Guided tour of selected artworks by a trained educator
• Hands-on art activity based on specific badge and belt loop guidelines
• Specially designed Walters participatory patch

Price: $10 per scout; no charge for adult chaperones.

Scout Museum Days November 2008

Ooh! Ahh! Be awed by dazzling designs! Discover treasures from the past and learn about jewelry, amulets, and adornment in our special exhibition, Bedazzled: 5,000 Years of Jewelry. Then design and create your own wearable art in our studios as you develop your artistic abilities.

Junior Girl Scouts will work towards their Jeweler badge, Brownies towards their Art to Wear Try-it, and Cub Scouts toward their Artist pin or belt loop. Click on the links below to register for a Museum Day.
