Corporate Giving Opportunities

The Walters Art Museum Corporate Giving program provides special opportunities for affiliation with a world class museum, for partnership on community programs and education, and contact with the museums upscale and dedicated audience.  Special giving opportunities for your business or corporation include Corporate Membership, Special Exhibition Sponsorships, and Sponsorship of Education and Family Programs.

The Walters Art Museum wishes to thank all of the corporations who have supported the Walters in Fiscal Year 2007. 

Special Exhibition Sponsorship

The Walters Art Museum provides sponsorship opportunities to align corporate  businesses or corporations with the world class exhibitions of the Walters.  The museum works with corporate sponsors in creating a tailored benefits package to meet their promotional and marketing objectives, including name visibility to a target audience, hospitality opportunities, and benefits for employees.

Education and Family Programs

Voted the Best Art Museum for Children in Baltimore in 2005, the Walters Art Museum offers extensive educational and children/family programs, including our popular Family Festivals. Sponsorship opportunities are available for individual programs or events, and for seasonal program series.

Corporate Membership

Join the Walters Corporate Membership Program and enjoy many benefits including invitations to exclusive events and special programs designed to give you and your employees privileged access to the works of art and the people who bring them to us.

• Connoisseur $15,000 - $24,999
• Collector $7,500 - $14,999
• Master $5,000 - $7,499
• Artisan $2,500 - $4,999
• Craftsman $1,000 $2,499
• Donor $250 - $999

Donor $250 - $999

• Two transferable membership cards  
• Invitation to one of our monthly receptions with museum leadership.
  Tours (subjects vary) follow the reception. The focus of past tours
  include the conservation lab, art storage and the Cabinet of Art and Wonders. 
• 2 single-use passes to the parking lot on the corner of Centre and Cathedral Streets, adjacent to the Centre Street entrance.
• Discounts on museum-sponsored tours and events, as well as children and
  family programs
• Subscription to The Walters Magazine
• Reciprocal privileges at 30 select art museums around the country
• 10% savings in the Museum Store and Café
• Recognition in the Annual Report
• $5 discount on museum memberships for all company employees
• The Donor level is 100% tax-deductible.

Craftsman $1,000 - $2,499

All of the above benefits plus

• Four transferable memberships cards
• Invitation for two to our annual Patron Event
• 4 single-use passes to the parking lot on the corner of Centre and Cathedral Streets, adjacent to the Centre Street entrance.
• Invitation for two to Curators’ Choice, a reception with curators and tours of the permanent collection
• Recognition on the Honor Wall, located in the Museum’s lobby
• The fair market value of the Craftsman level is $75. 

Artisan $2,500 - $4,999

All of the above benefits plus

• Six transferable memberships cards
• Invitation for two to the Director’s Dinner, an intimate evening
  with the director and a special guest
• The fair market value of the Artisan level is $100.

Master $5,000 - $7,499

All of the above benefits plus

• Invitation to join the Collectors’ Circle, a four-evening program with our curators and conservators that provides special in-depth access to the collection
• The fair market value of the Master level is $135.   
  

Collector $7,500 - $14,999

All of the above benefits plus

• Eight transferable membership cards
• Rental discount of 30% for one special event held at the museum
• Recognition in one issue of the Walters Magazine
• Invitation to join the Director’s Travel Program
• Private lunch and tour with a curator or conservator
• The fair market value of the Collector level is $175.

Connoisseur $15,000 - $24,999

All of the above benefits plus

• Ten transferable membership cards
• Rental discount of 40% for one special event held at the museum
• Private viewing of special exhibition for CEO/President and ten guests
• The fair market value of the Connoisseur level is $200 

Founder $25,000 - $49,999

All of the above benefits plus

• Twenty transferable membership cards
• Rental discount of 50% for one special event held at the museum
• Private tour and lunch with director Gary Vikan for CEO/President and eight guests
• $5,000 gala table (for more tax benefits, this may be declined)
• The fair market value of the Founder level is $2,250 (with gala table)

President's Club $50,000+

All of the above benefits plus

• Private dinner and tour for eight with the museum director
• Special recognition on a focus exhibition
• $10,000 gala table (for more tax benefits, this may be declined)
• The fair market value of the President’s Club is $2,285 (with gala table)
