Café
The Museum Café features a variety of sandwiches, salads, hot and cold beverages, and desserts in a self-serve casual setting adjacent to the museum entrance. There are also a number of full-service restaurants in the neighborhood, serving lunch and dinner in a variety of settings. Ask at the Visitor Information desk for recommendations and directions.

Museum Shop Before you leave, stop by the Museum Store to check out the wide selection of merchandise sure to please every art lover. Browse through posters, jewelry, china, art reproductions, and books, including publications highlighting the museum's collections and exhibitions. Children will love the store's activities and gifts for kids, focusing on the medieval, Asian, and Egyptian collections. You can also visit our online store to purchase items from home.
The Museum Store is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors wishing just to shop in the store may enter the museum without paying admission. Simply stop at the admissions desk for a sticker.
Library The Walters Art Museum Library holds an extensive collection of research materials about our art objects. The library is open to the public 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only. Visitor Information Desk To get your museum experience off to a good start, stop by the Visitor Information Desk. Volunteer information specialists staff the desk during regular museum hours to answer your questions and assist in making your visit as convenient and comfortable as possible. Here you can pick up a map of the museum and obtain information about current exhibitions, programs and services. Additionally, the volunteers can assist you with such services as:
- Planning your visit
- Explaining how to use the audio guide
- Providing directions to the galleries, restrooms and other locations in the museum
- Area restaurant recommendations
- Validating your parking ticket at the Cathedral Street lot
- Maps and directions to other museums or Baltimore attractions
- Tips on children's activities and resources
The Visitor Information Desk is located in the lobby of the Centre Street Building.

Coat Check Room A coat check room (staffed during the winter months) can be found in the atrium of the Centre Street Building. For security reasons, we ask that you leave large bags in the coatrooms while you visit the museum. Umbrellas, backpacks, including baby backpacks, tripods, and any package over 13" x 17", including large purses and diaper bags, are not allowed in the museum and must be checked. Lockers are available for safekeeping.
Lost and Found If you lose an item during your visit, please inquire at the Visitor Information Desk in the Centre Street Lobby. If you realize you've lost an item at the Walters after your visit, please call 410-547-9000, ext. 264 to inquire. Items are kept for a maximum of 30 days (though valuable items may be held longer). We attempt to locate the owner of items but unclaimed items are purged after a month and donated to a registered charity.
Telephones There are no public telephones. Visitors may make short, local telephone calls at the Visitor Information Desk.
ATM An Automated Teller Machine is located on Level 1A of the Centre Street Building near the restrooms and drinking fountains.
